And he's off!

On Sunday, July 30, 2006, just before his 21 month birthday, Little Mr. Stinky Pants figured out how to pedal his tricycle. (He seems to learn a new trick just before he moves up a month.)

On Saturday, August 5, 2006, LMSP figured out how to pedal AND steer at the same time, turning our upstairs living/dining/kitchen area into the Daytona 500 for toddlers.

On Sunday, August 6, 2006, Daddy took LMSP on his first bike ride. The boy rode around the ENTIRE block on his tricycle, taking turns and corners like a pro. Daddy said the boy would stop every once in a while to admire the view, but did not ask to be carried.

We knew he was fascinated by the three-year-old across the street who pedals his tricycle up and down the sidewalk nightly, and it would only be a matter of time before ours took off on his own.

Did it have to be so soon???
